Nikon Corporation has launched the ECLIPSE LV100AMS, a one-click automated microscope built for industrial inspection and quality control. The system runs on Nikon's existing industrial microscope platform and pairs fully automated inspection with AI-powered image analysis, with the goal of pushing inspection consistency and throughput while reducing operator-to-operator variation.

The pitch is workflow consolidation. Rather than splitting image acquisition, stage movement, and interpretation across separate steps, the LV100AMS executes a complete inspection routine from a single command. That matters for QA managers running multiple shifts, since manual microscopy is one of the inspection methods most exposed to operator skill drift and the longest to train new staff on.

The core capabilities Nikon highlights are:

John Moore, Sales Director at Nikon, said the company is aiming to "reduce human error, accelerate inspections, and maintain stable quality across production lines."
