Math2Market GmbH has launched GeoDict Quantify, a software package for processing and quantitatively analyzing micro-CT, FIB-SEM and other high-resolution 3D imaging data. The company introduced it on 29 September at the GeoDict Innovation Conference 2026 in Frankfurt am Main, positioning it as a "cost-effective" entry point to the GeoDict platform for imaging labs and industrial quality teams.
The preparation tools cover CT ring artifact removal, non-local means denoising, cropping and downsampling. For FIB-SEM data, they add slice alignment and curtaining correction. Segmentation runs on thresholds or AI-assisted methods, including training full 3D U-Net models for segmentation and image enhancement.
The characterization side measures pores, fibers, particles, grains, wall thickness, defects and deviations from nominal or reference geometries. Descriptors include size distributions, sphericity, aspect ratio, orientation, connectivity, anisotropy and geodesic tortuosity. For quality engineers who have to turn CT scans into numbers a customer will accept, defect and nominal-deviation analysis sits in the same tool as the data preparation.
Repeatability is the other pitch. Quantify automatically records each processing and analysis step as a reusable workflow, called a recipe, which can be rerun across samples, users and projects. Macros and integrated Python scripting handle automation, and the software generates standardized reports, result images, 3D visualizations and animations. Geometries export as meshes or CAD files. "High-resolution images are only the starting point," said Anton du Plessis, head of image processing and image analysis at Math2Market. Their value comes from results that can be "reproduced, reported, and compared."
VoxelMatters, which covered the launch, cited two additive manufacturing examples. In a sample from Dr. Mehrshad Mehrpouy's laboratory at the University of Twente, wall thickness analysis found a dominant value of about 0.9mm, with secondary peaks at 1.2mm and 1.4mm. In a 10mm metal cube, the software identified pores up to 0.277mm in diameter and characterized them by size, elongation and sphericity.
Quantify is a fixed package of 10 GeoDict modules, according to VoxelMatters, dedicated to image processing and analysis. It cannot be extended directly with simulation modules. Users who later need digital material modeling or multiphysics simulation move to a regular GeoDict configuration. Math2Market CEO Andreas Wiegmann described that as a "clear path" from image analysis to simulation.
At launch, Quantify is available through selected micro-CT and FIB-SEM OEM partners, and buyers of a new imaging system can ask their instrument supplier to include it. VoxelMatters lists Carl Zeiss, Rigaku, ProCon X-Ray and Bruker among Math2Market's GeoDict OEM partners. Organizations that already run micro-CT or FIB-SEM instruments can contact Math2Market to request a demonstration.
