Kenso Software has released SPC Chart PRO, a commercial statistical process control panel for Grafana that lets quality and process engineers run full control-chart analysis without exporting data to a separate SPC application. It builds on the company's free SPC Chart plugin and ships with 22 chart types across the variables, attribute, time-weighted, and short-run families.
The draw for a quality team already living in Grafana is that the analysis runs on data they have queried. Because it is a Grafana visualization, SPC Chart PRO works with any existing Grafana data source, SQL databases, Prometheus, InfluxDB, CSV, and reads measurement data in place. It can run in the cloud or on a company's own network, and it displays Grafana annotations and alert-state changes alongside the measurement data, so an out-of-control point sits next to whatever equipment or process event coincided with it.
The run-rule handling is the part that turns a chart into monitoring. SPC Chart PRO detects all eight Nelson rules automatically, rings the offending points by severity, lists every rule a point tripped in its tooltip, and writes the violations into the CSV export.
Beyond the free panel's variables charts, PRO adds attribute charts (p, np, c, u, and the overdispersion-corrected Laney p-prime and u-prime) for count and pass/fail data, CUSUM and EWMA for small sustained shifts a Shewhart chart can miss, and short-run methods that plot many part numbers on one chart. Two workflow features handle messy data: point exclusion drops a known measurement error from the limit and capability math while keeping it visible on the chart, and staged control limits split a chart at a deliberate change like a machine adjustment or recalibration and compute separate limits on each side.
SPC Chart PRO is available now through the Grafana Plugin Catalog at $10 per user per month, with custom pricing for larger deployments, and requires Grafana 11.6.10 or later. The free SPC Chart panel remains available for teams that only need XmR, Xbar-R, and Xbar-S charts. The current release, version 1.0.2, passed Grafana's security, maintenance, and documentation checks.
