Incodema3D, the Freeville, New York contract metal additive manufacturer, has ordered 14 additional laser powder bed fusion systems from EOS, a purchase that will push its total EOS fleet past 50 machines once all units are installed.
The orders arrived in two tranches. The first covers four EOS M 400-4 units and one EOS M4 ONYX, currently awaiting delivery. The second tranche adds four EOS M4 ONYX, two EOS M 400-4, and three EOS M 300-4 systems. Incodema3D has sourced exclusively from EOS since its first system purchase in 2012.
Engineers tracking production-scale metal AM will note that Incodema3D's growth model ties inspection and precision machining directly to its print capacity. The company runs post-processing, precision machining, and inspection inside its 60,000-square-foot New York facility alongside printing. "By integrating design for additive manufacturing, industrial-scale 3D printing, post-processing, precision machining, inspection, and fulfillment under one roof, we can move complex metal parts into production with speed, consistency, and confidence," said Matt Lewis, vice president of programs at Incodema3D.
The 14-machine order follows AFM Capital's acquisition of a majority stake in Incodema3D earlier in 2026. Sean Whittaker, founder and CEO, cited 50 percent year-over-year growth as the driver behind hiring, a planned expansion of the New York facility, and urgency around "national priorities" in defense and energy. Current contracts span from 10 mission-critical defense components to production runs of 10,000 parts for energy customers.
A second manufacturing facility has been confirmed but its location had not been disclosed as of this report. The full machine investment, once delivered and operational, forms part of a plan to triple Incodema3D's manufacturing capacity by 2030.
