Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence's Stationary Metrology Division launched PC-DMIS FUSION on 6 May, adding a real-time analytics and statistical process control layer to its PC-DMIS metrology software. The module collects dimensional data from a broad range of measurement devices, presents it through a modernized interface, and automates the SPC tasks and reporting that quality teams typically handle offline after inspection rounds.
FUSION connects to existing PC-DMIS installations and monitors parts continuously, triggering deviation alarms and generating trend analysis without additional programming. Instead of reviewing defect data after a batch closes, quality teams can track part conformance as measurements happen, flagging process drift before it produces scrap.
The interesting part is how FUSION integrates with MAESTRO, Hexagon's digitally-native IIoT CMM. MAESTRO streams precise measurement data in real time while FUSION interprets that data, automates SPC, and links dimensional results directly to 3D part models, supporting virtual metrology and model-based manufacturing workflows within a connected ecosystem.

FUSION also accepts data from measurement devices beyond MAESTRO, allowing shops running mixed inspection fleets to consolidate dimensional data into one analytics environment. The broader industry push is to close the feedback loop between measurement data and production decisions, a gap manufacturers have historically bridged with standalone SPC software or manual exports. Hexagon has not disclosed pricing. The product is available now through its direct sales team and authorized resellers.
