e-con Systems will debut NetraVis, an active-stereo 3D depth camera, at VISION 2026 in Stuttgart, Germany, October 6–8. The company says the camera holds depth deviation to 1 percent or less across its range, a precision level built for obstacle detection and spatial perception in robots working in dynamic indoor environments.
NetraVis pairs dual global-shutter sensors with a synchronized RGB sensor and an onboard IMU. e-con Systems built it for autonomous mobile robots, automated storage and retrieval systems, humanoid robots, and pick-and-place robots. For engineers integrating perception into automated material handling, depth accuracy at that tolerance determines whether a robot can trust its own read on an obstacle rather than falling back on conservative safety margins that slow throughput.
The company will also demo the STURDeCAM31FSH, a GMSL-based camera built for mobility applications that swing between sub-zero and ambient temperatures. An integrated lens heater de-ices optics down to −40°C and stops condensation from forming, addressing two of the most persistent failure modes in outdoor and cold-storage robot deployments. e-con Systems positions it for autonomous mobile robots, cold-storage robots, automated storage and retrieval systems, and autonomous vehicles.
Rounding out the booth, e-con Systems will run its Edge AI ALPR camera and Turret camera setup, built for license plate recognition and pedestrian detection in risk zones. Both tie into the company's ITS software suite and CloVis Central, its cloud-based platform for managing devices and evidence remotely, aimed at traffic monitoring and enforcement deployments.
"As vision systems take on more demanding roles in robots and vehicles, image quality alone is not enough," said Ashok Babu, president at e-con Systems. "Customers need imaging, optics, AI edge processing and system integration to work together reliably in the field."
e-con Systems will run live demos of all three systems at Booth 10H60. The company says its cameras currently ship in more than 350 customer products, with over two million units delivered to customers in the United States, Europe, Japan, South Korea, and other countries.
