Callista Private Equity GmbH has acquired Industrial Metrology Solutions LLC, known as ZeroTouch Metrology, from Sandvik Group. The deal runs through Callista Asset Management 35 GmbH. ZeroTouch builds non-contact, in-line-capable inspection and measurement systems for automated manufacturing, covering the full chain from optical capture and point cloud generation to integration into existing production lines.

The company's systems are built on a modular architecture that is roughly 80 percent standardized across components, according to the deal announcement. That level of commonality lets ZeroTouch stand up new inspection projects faster and more cheaply than a fully custom build, without giving up the precision expected of a tailored system. Engineers specifying in-line 3D inspection will care about that number specifically: it points to shorter lead times on new lines without the usual trade-off between customization and speed.

ZeroTouch runs two main sites. Its operational headquarters is in Portland, Oregon, while a development center in Saint-Erblon, France, builds out the company's proprietary measurement and analysis software. Customers span the automotive, luxury watch, medical technology, and aerospace sectors, industries where tight tolerances and traceable inline quality assurance are standard requirements rather than optional extras.

Once the transaction closes, ZeroTouch is set to operate as an independent business rather than as part of Sandvik's metrology portfolio. Callista says the company will focus on realizing internal optimization potential, strengthening synergies across its own group, and pushing recently developed systems to market. Neither party disclosed the transaction value, and no closing date has been announced.
